Titanium: It is tough as much as steel is but lighter than steel is. It is added into composition of various alloys due to its durability and resistance to acids. Its resistance to seawater is unique and thus, it is used in facilities in which seawater is distilled to fresh water and construction of vessel parts in contact with seawater.
Its resistance to oxidation, acid condensation, corrosion and chemicals is 20-fold higher compared to other alloys. It can be manufactured in any form (block, round, hexagonal, Lema, rod, plate, wire in any form which might be demanded). Contrary to what it is believed, it can be easily welded. Machinery is not hard. It is durable to fire and impacts. It is biologically compatible and non-toxic.
Titanium 6Al-4V and 6Al-4V ELI alloys contain 6% of Aluminum and 4% of Vanadium and are the most commonly used alloys in medical and dental areas.

Hastelloy C-276 alloy and Hastelloy B2 alloy, which has been developed by the same company, have perfect performance in hydrochloric environment in various operation temperature ranges. Abrasion seen in these alloys is 0.01 mm in a year when they are constantly exposed to hydrochloric acid.

Recommendations for alloys to be used in sulfuric acid environment
The most resistant alloys to be worked in sulfuric acid environment in different temperature ranges are Hastelloy C-276 with an annual abrasion amount of 0.01 mm like hydrochloric environment, Hastelloy C-2000 and Incoloy 825 and Monel 400 alloys, which have been designed for the same purpose.
